About the Project
As the first Fairmont hotel in Japan, Fairmont Tokyo brings a new expression of contemporary luxury to the city's waterfront skyline. Designed by BAR Studio under the creative direction of Lucas Chirnside, the interiors draw inspiration from the Japanese art of kintsugi, celebrating beauty in imperfection through carefully layered materials, refined detailing, and a sense of quiet elegance. The guestrooms embrace the concept of engawa, creating seamless connections between interior spaces and panoramic views of Tokyo Bay and Tokyo Tower. MW Group delivered the complete furniture package for 188 guestrooms, 29 suites, and key public areas, helping bring the project's distinctive design vision to life.
